Michael Fitzwater, a Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center student from Williamsport, wrote a special thank you to WATCH Project staff:

“I have been a member of the WATCH program for some time. In that time, my life has been a roller coaster. I have been through so much. I have seen a lot of darkness. The WATCH program has given me hope beyond measure. Thank you so much for giving me and my family a shot at a better future, to shine in the light. To my Career Coordinator, Val Forsha, thank you my friend. You have helped me through more than you know. You are one of my heroes.”

Michele Heckman, a mother of three from South Williamsport, is a great example of how WATCH can help individuals move along the nursing career pathway in central Pennsylvania.

Michele started with the program as a Home Health Aid, became a CNA, graduated from Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center as an LPN and completed the RN program at Pennsylvania College of Technology. She did this while working at least part-time in health care and is currently working full-time for Geisinger Health System.
