Support for school districts via the following:

  • Regular updates on state and federal regulations and initiatives;
  • Train-the-trainer PDE workshops and turn-around training for districts;
  • Video and internet-based conferences for district personnel;
  • Individualized technical assistance to schools identified as needing improvement;
  • School Level Improvement plan reviews;
  • Strategic planning facilitation and technical assistance;
  • Technical assistance and data analysis for PVAAS and other data resources;
  • Grant development and management services for initiatives designed to improve school performance;
  • Technical consultation for initiatives such as PA LEAD;
  • Professional development workshops on topics selected by districts;
  • In-service courses for teachers and paraprofessionals;
  • Learning Focused Schools "toolbox" and curriculum services;
  • Quality review of curriculum;
  • Topic based cross-district professional development "learning community;"
  • Coordination of regional networking groups for district principals and curriculum coordinators, including internet-based message boards to keep all informed of relevant developments and provide a site for sharing information;
  • Literacy training and support;
  • Grant-funded math coaches to participating districts;
  • RtII training, support and technical assistance; and
  • Act 48 Courses, Workshops and Programs.
