CSIU program for young parents funding renewed
State Sens. Lynda Schlegel Culver, R-27, and Gene Yaw, R-23 and the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) announced the $665,560 from the Education Leading to Employment and Career Training Program (ELECT). The funds will be used by CSIU to administer ELECT programs in the region.

LPN Center holds graduation
The Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center (CSLPNCC) graduated 30 students on Thursday, Aug. 17, in an evening ceremony held at the Milton Area High School.

Pathfinders Program at Midd-West
West Snyder Elementary School and Middleburg Elementary were bursting with excitement and learning as the summer Pathfinders program got underway. The program focusing on STEAM activities: science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math was held for a 2-week session in June and again in July.

Over the course of the week, girls from a variety of school districts — including Central Columbia, Shikellamy, Northumberland Christian, Warrior Run, Southern Columbia and Mifflinburg — had the chance to engage in a broad array of activities and field trips that exposed them to different aspects of science and technology.
