Nita S. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers after-school programming (Pathfinders and STEAM3S2)
STEAM3S2 (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) are afterschool and summer programs available for students in grades K-4 at Baugher Elementary School in Milton, 6-8 grades at Milton Area Middle School, grades K-12 at Mount Carmel Area and 2-12 at Shamokin Area School District. Pathfinders are after-school and summer programs available for students in grades 3-6 at L.R. Appleman Elementary School in Benton Area School District, K-4 at Central Columbia Elementary and 5-8 grades at Central Columbia Middle School, grades 4-12 at Warrior Run School District and grades K-5 at West Snyder and Middleburg Elementary schools in the Midd-West School Disrict. The programs parallel each school's curriculum, and staff provide hands-on enrichment activities in STEM, literacy, social-emotional learning, physical fitness and homework help.
STEAM3S2 and Pathfinders are a Federal 21st Century Community Learning Center grant program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and administered by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit.
