CSIU Highlight:
SUN Area Technical Institute Videos

CSIU’s public relations department collaborated with SUN Area Technical Institute staff to create short, promotional videos to inform potential students about the programs and offerings available to sending districts. The video linked below highlights the Automotive Technology program. Videos created for all 19 programs, including a longer video overviewing the entire technical school, will be available at https://sun-tech.org/ and on the digital kiosks housed in sending districts in the new year.

CSIU can provide video production and other communication services based on a district’s interests and needs. Anyone interested in contracting should contact Bernadette Boerckel, Chief Outreach Officer, to discuss.

The opportunity to create a free, 30-second video celebrating your district through the CSIU’s WBRE Northeast PA Children’s First Campaign partnership is available through September 2025.

   Special Education Highlights

CSIU Special Education programs have been busy serving communities and showing gratitude.

Melinda Temple’s Multi-Disabilities Support (MDS) classroom at Shikellamy Middle School hosted its annual Thanksgiving dinner for friends and family. Students helped to plan, shop, and prepare the meal. They invited the CSIU Shikellamy Middle School Autistic Support Classroom, Shikellamy High School MDS classroom, Shikellamy Middle School staff, and the students' family members.

In collaboration with the Sunbury Hill Neighborhood, Five Star Sunbury students and staff lent their painting skills to the Sunbury downtown window painting tradition. Everyone enjoyed their part in spreading cheer to the community with their artistic talents!

Work Foundations+ students participated in the fifth annual Attitude of Gratitude music in the classroom program with Geoff Craven and KJ Reimensnyder-Wagner. The students composed and performed four original songs.
