Welcome to the CSIU's PLD 2020
This day is designed to provide an opportunity for reflection, celebration, and personal and professional enrichment for all of the staff members of the CSIU at the Central Office, Annex, Center for Schools and Communities, and our many field sites and in-district programs.
This year PLD is going to look a little different…
As individuals and as an organization we have remained positive and flexible while embracing the challenges of a global pandemic. COVID-19 has forced us to communicate, connect, and create in very different ways than we did before, and PLD will be no different! This year’s virtual event will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of PA Intermediate Units and is being planned and coordinated by a cross-divisional team of CSIU colleagues, with the goal of maintaining the spirit and rigor of an in-person Professional Leadership Day.
This year’s theme is “Know Your Impact!” Together, with keynote speaker Drew Dudley, we will celebrate and explore the individual IMPACT that each one of us can have in the world and celebrate the collective IMPACT that CSIU programs have had on communities over the past 50 years. It will also challenge us to imagine our IMPACT in a changing world over the next 50 years!
This page contains information to help guide you through the logistics, agenda, and resources available for our virtual PLD on August 4, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The most important way to stay connected and informed about PLD is to check your IU email regularly. Your invitation to PLD is unique to you and will come through your IU email. Technical support will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. for anyone experiencing difficulties connecting. Additionally, our curriculum and professional development team has created a PLD Mini Guide to support you prior to the event (coming soon). Please take a look at this resource to ensure that you technically prepared to join in all of the activities on August 4.
Thank you all for your participation. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your supervisors or to AskCSIU@csiu.org.
