  • The table above shows for which program (Early Head Start, Head Start or Pre-K Counts) for which a child may be eligible, based on the annual (yearly) income of the number of people (adults and children) in the household. Please note: these figures are subject to change as they are based on Federal poverty guidelines.


    For each additional person over 8, add $4,540

    Examples:
    A family of four is eligible for Early Head Start or Head Start if the family’s total yearly income is less than $26,500

    A family of four is eligible for Pre-K Counts if the family’s total yearly income is less than $79,500.

Gross Monthly Income 2021

  • The table above shows for which program (Early Head Start, Head Start or Pre-K Counts) for which a child may be eligible, based on the monthly income of the number of people (adults and children) in the household. Please note: these figures are subject to change as they are based on Federal poverty guidelines.


    Examples:
    A family of four is eligible for Early Head Start or Head Start if the family’s total monthly income is less than $2,208.

    A family of four is eligible for Pre-K Counts if the family’s total monthly income is less than $6,625.

    To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
