UNDERSTANDING TRAUMA AFTER A CRISIS
A VIDEO TO SUPPORT TRAUMA-INFORMED CLASSROOM RESPONSES
This 17-minute discussion video is designed for classroom teachers to gain a quick understanding of what trauma after a crisis looks like, how it may manifest in classroom behaviors, and a few strategies to help students and colleagues through short and long-term trauma. Dr. Sam Faulkner and Dr. Ana Kemple Reeves, Pediatric Psychologists from Geisinger’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Department share their expertise and experiences. While this video was created to support the Berwick-Nescopeck Community, it is relevant to any crisis or trauma.
